These tables were made using the prompts given by the people who run Inktober. I have decided to make a small world out of them and only through random tables as well.

DAY 1: DREAM
![]() |
By: False Positive |
D6 common dreams and things pulled from them
1 Flying: a single white feather, if you eat it freedom fills you and you can fly indefinitely, the freedom is fragile and if you touch or are touched by anything you weren't holding or wearing when you start fly you stop and fall.
2 Teeth falling out: a tooth, roots stained in blood, place it under your pillow and sleep on it and it turns to gold, make something eat it and all their teeth fall out over a minute.
3 Naked in public: some undergarments, if you wear them the person they came from will always feel exposed and take double damage, both physical and emotional, the undergarments disappear if the person they came from ever comes in contact with you physical or otherwise (seeing, talking on the phone, accidentally bumping into each other).
4 Falling: a black orb of lead the size of a head, very heavy, while it is on your person when you fall you miraculously take no damage but it feels like you woke up from a dream and disorients you causing you to be stunned for a round, cracks with each fall no matter how small, can survive three cracks.
5 Dream in a dream: a dream-clone of the person, they are just a dream and die when their owner wakes up, they know this and want this to happen, being a dream is a deeply wrong experience and you can’t even do much different as a dream, they know everything their normal self knows but are only as strong as a light gust of wind, they have one health, nothing happens to their owner when they die.
6 Monster chasing you: the monster, it shifts its form to terrify you and to mirror your anxieties and phobias though it still retains most of the traits of its owners fears, it wants to kill you, banished by sunlight, as long as it lives its owner does not dream when they sleep for good or ill.
DAY 2: SPIDERS

D6 spider gods and their blessings
1 Leqzus: goddess of spiders, webs, traps, eating your husband, and silk. Leqzus is the kind goddess of spiders and ambassador between humans and arachnids. Prayed to by silk farmers for good harvests, by bandits for well hidden traps, and by desperate or greedy wives to eat their husband and make sure no one finds out.
2 Garthock: god of fear (a significant amount of fear is derived from spiders). Garthock is an unwilling spider god, really he is, he didn't think that spiders were this frightening and now he’s stuck with these loser gods on this loser d6 table.
3 Fledips: god of spiders, lies, paranoia, fear, and spider elves. Nobody knows how elves are so graceful, how they wield invisible magics, how they see so well, but scholars of Fledips know better. ELVES ARE SPIDERS THEIR GRACE COMES FROM THEIR 8 LIMBS 4 VISIBLE 4 HIDDEN THEIR UNSEEN MAGIC IS WEBS THEIR 8 EYES SEE ALL. Grants delusions and paranoia to those who learn about it.
4 The Entangler: goddess of spiders, traps, chains, binding. One of the few gods able to consistently physically manifest on the mortal world, appears as a massive spider that can wrap up mortals in a cocoon of web in a matter of seconds. Calling out to The Entangler is a risky gambit as she is just as likely to entangle your foes as she is to entangle you.
5 Death-from-above: god of murder, boots, dusters, tyranny, and arachnophobia. Death-from-above is spider Satan, he crushes poor spiders under his thick boots and dusts away their webs out of his bigoted arachnophobia. Only the worst and most evil of spiders call upon Death-from-above, sacrificing their fellows on tinny alters at midnight.
6 Aarkes: goddess of spiders, community, and hives. Aarkes is the dormant spider goddess of community and hives, she is weak as almost all spiders are staunch individualists. Hates that some female spiders eat their husbands after mating with them, wishes that everyone could just get along. Her blessing grants community and unity to groups, especially spiders but both sides need to agree to it.
DAY 3: PATH
![]() |
Promotional still from "Crossroads" according to this |
D6 road types
1 Cobble-bone road: road paved with bones and mortared with a mixture of bone dust, blood, lime, and volcanic ash. Made by an ancient empire of death sorcerers, a party with a necromancer in it can charge the road with a small amount of necromantic magic allowing for the path to move slightly and somewhat increase travel speed.
2 Path of scripture: every stone on this road has had words carved into them, over the length of the whole path is the contents of an entire holy book.
3 Woodsway: a simple dirt trail, every several miles is a large stone with a head, human or animal, carved on it with runic symbols circling it. No animals will attack you unprovoked on this trail.
4 Spider pilgrimage route: the stones are placed in a pattern meant to resemble spider webs, every mile is a round pillar that's waist height and has silk wrapped around its middle. If you take the silk from a pillar you are cursed by the spider gods causing all spiders to violently attack you. In the middle is an ancient temple to the spider gods.
5 Smiling Merchants Lane: blessed path of Beeogar the smiling merchant god. If you don’t pay a toll at one of the shrines on the road there is a 50% chance you will be smited by Beeogar.
6 Way of lavender: along the sides of this road are fields of lavender, the smell is overwhelming. The scent causes drowsiness, 1 in 6 chance that when you fall asleep that the sleep is eternal until you leave the way.
DAY 4: DODGE

This one has the website on it already. |
D6 breath attacks to dodge and what breathes them
1 Breath of living dream (daydream spirit): everything becomes more vivid, wavy, and indistinct. Your brain must dodge or fall asleep and have your dream pulled out of your mind.
2 War crime breath (war elemental): a combination of napalm, undetectable shrapnel, blinding strobe light, radiation, mustard gas, and cluster bombs. Very hard to dodge.
3 Breath of eyes (Tho’glyk’vmrk): eyes of all types, all of them inverted in color with most of the eye being black and the center being white. Low damage on their own but it's disgusting, you will also need to save or be blinded for a short amount of time as the anti-eyes cancel out with yours.
4 Dragons (double dragon): hundreds of internal eggs hatch unleashing a swarm of miniature, biting fire breathing baby dragons. This does a fair amount of damage both physical and ecological.
5 Enchanted smoke blast (tobacco addicted wizard): gray tobacco laden smoke charged with magic. Those who inhale the smoke experience psychedelic/magical visions, extremely distracting.
6 Cone of cold, psychological (demon of depression): a blast of cold wind and even colder emotions, on a failed doge you become immune to emotions until you get warmer.
DAY 5: MAP
![]() |
Map of Elden Ring |
1 Old bone town: the last city of an ancient empire of death sorcerers. Its bone buildings are crumbling to dust, a few undead servants still linger, keeping to their routines, thieves and ghouls stalk the city stealing gold and flesh respectively. Most of its great treasures have been plundered
2 Swamp of resurrection: those bathed in the murky water of this swamp are revived on the full moon though each time the swamp takes more control over them. Those infested by the swamp will become more interested and protective of nature, become more jovial, and have swamp plants start to replace parts of their body, around 3 rebirths they are a completely different person and serve the swamp as a zealot.
3 Cavity riddled mountain: a once massive mountain that has had its inside removed and only a ring remains, like an ant hill on the sidewalk. At the center of the hole is a massive mouth filled with many teeth, it ate the mountain.
4 McKenthris family farm: an old and slightly decrepit farm, the McKenthris make deals with demons. They sell flour and bread stained red with sacrificial blood, sweet fruits with souls trapped within, poisonous root vegetables, and other demonic foods.
5 An unnamed well: simply constructed and standing in the middle of a field. Toss something in and at night a long pale arm will place something on the ground relating to the thing you put in, put in gold and you get lead, put in an apple you get an old lemon. The thing given is always older or of a lower quality than what was tossed in.
6 Forest of war: nature is ready for war, rallying its forces for a counter attack against civilization here. All sorts of creatures are found here: ravens with the lower half of snakes, boars that eat light as readily as they eat plants or flesh, deer with the heads of wolves that can speak man's tongues, owls the size of wagons that make no sound when flying and regurgitate pellets of human bone and drop them into towns to spread fear and disease.

D6 ancient “coins” to plunder
1 Painted coins: square coins made of lead, in ancient times they would have a small canvas stretched onto them and a painting painted on it. The coin's value was dependent on how good the painting was. Most of the coins are not but blocks of lead at this point though a few masterpieces were well preserved and still survive to this day.
2 Shards of light: crystalized light, currency used by angels, when smashed it blinds everyone nearby like a flash grenade.
3 Wand rounds: ancient giant wizards used giant wands, these are round sections made from cutting up the massive wands. Each round holds magical power which can be drawn upon by wizards.
4 Goblin skulls: used by adventurers the world over. The older and larger the skull the more valuable.
5 Lightning: stored inside rods of metal insulated from everything by magic, various devices are used to add charge, transfer charge, or use it to power all sorts of devices. Used by an ancient empire of tech users.
6 Liquid gold: like mercury but gold, used by a race of liquid creatures which stored it inside of them. If you replace all your blood with gold you become immortal
DAY 7: DRIP

D6 liquids that drip from stalactites and pools in the cavities of the cave
1 Color, thickness, and scent of blood, tastes oddly sweet. Addicting.
2 A faintly glowing blue fluid, a dangerous acid. In light it is outshined, in the dark it offers enough light to see it and nothing else.
3 A greenish liquid, tastes of musk and flesh. Filled with life, can be used to heal but it always heals things wrong, skin may be a different color or even become scaly, large doses cause rapid mutation.
4 A cloudy liquid, tastes rotten and sour. It's just water but carries many horrible diseases within it.
5 Light purple slime, stings open wounds like lemon juice. This is the common slime, the back bone of the dungeon ecosystem acting both as a bottom level producer and a decomposer. Often it is boiled into a sour soup and a small amount of lye added to help neutralize the weak acid.
6 Clear fluid, tastes like lonely nights and bad memories. These are the tears of rocks, shed after seeing so much cruelty and death.
DAY 8: TOAD

By: David St. Albans |
D6 toad magic items
1 Toadform potion: a green potion that smells of swamps. When drunk choose any amount of time, you are a toad for that long both physically and mentally, you cannot control your character during this time. If you die as a toad you transform back to your normal form, you will still be dead though. If a person of royal blood kisses you as a toad the effect ends prematurely.
2 Ring of the long tongue: while you wear this ring that appears to be a toad sticking out its tongue to form the majority of the ring, your tongue becomes a toad tongue, it can launch up to 10 ft away and grab things but cannot do any fine manipulation.
3 Wart dust: sprinkle this pale dust on someone and each grain attaches to the skin and grows into a green and leathery wart, make sure to wear gloves when using it.
4 Toad King’s decree of war: this piece of parchment has legal jargon scrawled all over it in the secret language of the toads, hold it up and declare your hatred of a place, person, or thing, toads will rain from the sky for 1d4+1 days. Most of these toads die on impact but some will survive and they will try and destroy or kill whatever you were talking about when using the declaration. The toads will likely be unsuccessful but having hundreds of angry toads attack a person never hurts.
5 Fly of awakening: a sentient fly, depressed and angry at the world for having such a short life. If fed to a toad they will become sentient and will be forever in your debt and will follow your commands unless you order something ridiculous or betray them.
6 Sword of toad and amphibian slaying: this blade was especially enchanted to combat toads, toad monsters, and other amphibious things. The swords attacks are deadly to amphibians and devastated toads in particular. Made to fight in the ancient wars against the Toad King when he ruled all of creation.
